Ebony Media was faced with the dilemma of having multiple departments provide content to internal and external documents with minimum guidelines for brand voice. I was tasked with ensuring consistency across these documents, as well as proofing grammar and spelling. I’ve also provided support for ad, digital and web copy, as well as copyedited the January 2024 issue.

BRAND MANAGEMENT
In 2010 the YMCA launched a national rebrand initiative and for the first time implemented brand voice and visual standards across 800+ member based organization. However, the ability for each Y to implement these standards was not equal. I was brought into develop and execute a strategy to recruit a regional brand manager team, coach and support the local Y and internal departments to ensure compliance.

Although an iconic brand one of LEGOLAND DIscovery Center’s biggest challenge was opening in Phipps Plaza a mall traditionally known for attracting high-end customers. Along with traditional advertising, my team developed a robust PR strategy that garnered major local media, focused on school outreach , events and collaborative partnerships resulting in 34k+ incremental attendees over budget.
